– – Hey it’s Kristen here. I’m just on my way to a meeting where I need to make an investment decision. Have you ever questioned yourself, am I making the right decision, am I making the right choices? Could be a small decision like am I wearing the right clothing or the right colors for this meeting. In my case I’m not sure today. Or it could be a big one like am I making the right investment choice or the right career choice. You might have these thoughts popping up in your head all the time, like what will happen if I do it? What will happen if I don’t do it? What does it mean if I do it? What will they think about it, the decision? What will they think about me? Sorry, I’m just crossing the road here, so I don’t get run over. Will it increase or decrease my reputation and status? Well we all have these thoughts from time to time, right? They might pop up for you as stress or anxiety or self-doubt. Anyway, in today’s video I’m gonna share with you how I have managed to overcome all these things and how you can overcome them as well. So let’s get into it.

Hi, I’m Kristen Myers and I’m the founder of Next Level Coach Co. We help people install an ultimate success psychology into their unconscious minds so they can achieve all of their goals faster. With the right psychology and the right mindset anything is possible.

I used to doubt myself a lot, like am I wearing the right thing? People are gonna make fun of me? People are gonna take me seriously? Like for many years I said to many people I was their constant intern or graduate, even though I wasn’t. And I had a lot of emphasis on what other people think of me. Look, I know that I shouldn’t have and it doesn’t matter what other people think, yet, there I was, there I am, over 30 years of age, an experienced, qualified, intelligent person in a successful corporate career, climbing the ladder, doing well, yet when people say things or give me feedback that’s not quite comfortable or whisper behind my back, I was always worrying what other people were saying or thinking or doing way too much, much much more than I should. And I know that I shouldn’t, but yet I still do. It still somehow gets to me. Do you know what I mean? Do you understand?

And the more I thought about it the more I got stuck in my head. And the more I got stuck in my head the more my inner voice, my inner critic, would pop up and say quite unpleasant things and hold me back. I’m sure you know the expression we can be our own worst critic, our own worst enemy. Well in my case, my mind was definitely an enemy. It held me back from so many things over the years now that I look back. And people might not realize this, but speaking in front of a crowd, speaking my mind freely, I would freak out. I would be so careful about I don’t wanna upset the wrong people. What will they think of me if I say the wrong thing? What an embarrassment I would be to myself, to them. I’d always be so worried about the other people instead of myself and often make decisions that would benefit the other people instead of myself. And I got into a bit of a situation sometimes where people would take advantage of me, especially earlier in my career. I mean as I learned and grew I started to adjust a little bit but certainly earlier on in my career I was very much a pleaser, making sure that other people were happy. But sometimes we need to make tough decisions and we need to make decisions that are right for us. Or sometimes it just needs to be the right bold decision that’s needed. And when you’re your own worst critic and you’ve got this voice in your head then it can make things really difficult.

Look, I’m not saying I’m a guru now and I have all the answers to everything, but I have learned a lot over the past couple of years on my personal development and growth journey and I wanna share some of that with you. It all started for me when I went on a corporate leadership development program. We were learning about complex storytelling, which is basically telling stories to influence and inspire people and sometimes persuade people. But that got me really interested in communication and psychology, leadership, and funnily enough that led me down the path of hypnosis. I went and learned how to hypnotize people and I’m now a certified hypnotherapist as well. And I became obsessed with how it all works, how the hypnosis works, how the unconscious mind works, how we think about things, how we process things, the mind body spirit connection, mind, body, emotions and spirits, how everything all fits together and drives people’s lives. It’s fascinating stuff. In the process I learned how I’d been conditioned unconsciously, from a very young age, without the direction or intention of other people, just the product of the environment that I grew up in, how I’d been conditioned to think and feel a certain way, how I’d been conditioned to place highly on my unconscious values the opinion of other people.

My unconscious mind was telling me if the other people didn’t approve of what I was saying then I was not gonna be safe and I wasn’t gonna survive. Our brains are made to protect us and keep us alive, not to make us happy, not to make us successful, not to make us things, not to make us have the things that we wanna have. And so for me, deep in my unconscious mind I had this programming about really caring about what other people think of me. Even when my conscious mind was telling me not to worry about it, it’s not important, my unconscious mind, which is the much more powerful part of us, was telling me otherwise, that I really needed to worry about what these people are telling me. And so I became a bit of a slave to other people’s opinion and a bit of a slave to the fear of rejection. In this process I realized how I had so many beliefs, unconscious beliefs, that had been programmed into me and conditioned into me over many years. And so I realized that I needed to let all that programming go. I needed to re-wire my mind for the things that I want. I wanted to choose the things that were in there. Just take a second to think about all of the things that you think and believe. How did they get there? Did you choose for them to be there or were they just placed there unconsciously through the environment that you grew up in? That’s how it happens for most of us right?

So I knew I had to get rid of it all. I knew I had to let go of that old programming and put the stuff that I wanted in there, the stuff that I was choosing, the things that were my hopes and dreams. So I knew that but how was I gonna do it? How did I actually change it? Well that’s where my personal development journey came in. I started with the corporate leadership development. That led to hypnosis, and it led to NLP and some other modalities and tools and frameworks, some amazing stuff. And over the past couple of years I’ve trained and learned all these tools, not just intellectually, but I’ve now actually taken them on unconsciously. I’ve reprogrammed my mind at the unconscious level so that I’m living it, I’m breathing it, I’m feeling it. It’s not just an intellectual exercise where it’s like ah yeah, I understand that concept. No I’m actually living it. I’m feeling it. I’m breathing it. I’ve created for myself an ultimate success psychology, or USP. Look, I’ve personally invested 10s of thousands of dollars into my own personal development to do this. It didn’t just happen overnight. It’s taken me a long time. I’ve done a lot of courses, trainings, seminars, certifications to get here. But I can honestly say it’s the best investment that I’ve ever made in anything and that’s investing into me and investing into my mindset.

I’m not saying that you need to go and quit your job, become a yoga teacher, or some sort of life coach, but I just wanna illustrate that these tools and frameworks, they really do work. They’re life changing. They’re very powerful. It’s, when I think about it for me, it’s freed me up completely. It’s freed up my mind. I’ve got more energy, more vitality. I’m living in a better state of health. I’m just having more fun. I’m more free and I’m more open. It’s amazing. I can’t really describe it other than it’s incredible The interesting thing though that I’ve learned from learning all these different modalities like NLP, hypnosis, Timeline, meditation, a few different things, all incredible stuff each on their own, but when you combine all of them together, the thing that I’ve learned is that they all come together so well and it all comes down to our mindset and psychology. That’s the root of everything, of all the problems that we think we have. Often they’re just the symptoms. Often the problem is something much deeper and more profound in our unconscious mind. And by getting there, getting to the root cause, and changing that, we can change our lives. It really is the simple stuff at a deep level that messes us up, and when we change that we create profound, enormous changes on us. And it’s not just me saying this now. We’ve now got research in neuroscience that shows and proves that all this is true. It’s not just positive thinking psychology stuff anymore or feeling good by thinking happy thoughts. It’s actually real proven stuff.

So what I’ve done, I’ve put together all the best bits that I’ve learned over the past couple of years, the best bits of what I’ve applied to myself, what I’ve applied with clients, and I put that together into a 60 minute master class that I wanna share with you.
